LITTLE LOCKERS. BIG IMPACT.
This group of Reagan High School students spends their free time making sure kids in our communities have access to books.
Kyra and about 30 of her friends make up the Little Locker Ambassadors. They receive books from the Texas Yes Project and stock locker libraries in areas where children have little or no access to books. The group estimates they’ve delivered thousands of books since the beginning of the school year, helping students across the city find a love of literature.
Our Reagan students are showing how a small act can have a big impact.
REAGAN STUDENTS COLLABORATE FOR ELEMENTARY!
Reagan High School students in the Principles of Education and Training and Fashion Design classes recently completed a heartwarming, hands-on learning project that blended creativity, literacy, and collaboration. In partnership with Ms. Disrud’s Pre-K class at Las Lomas Elementary, students turned imaginative monster characters into personalized storybooks and handmade stuffed animals, creating a memorable learning experience for students of all ages.
REAGAN BUSINESS STUDENTS ATTEND UTSA EVENT!
Our Business INCubator and Business ACCELerator students had the wonderful opportunity to attend the Uncharted Learning Pitch Event at UTSA! Our students were able to refine their professional skills, actively pitch the problem and solution of their business ideas, and gain authentic feedback, which serves as crucial preparation for their upcoming Minimum Viable Product (MVP) pitch. Additionally, the Business ACCELerator team, QWEL, was the only accelerator team chosen to present their full pitch on stage and receive invaluable feedback from the judges! Congratulations to QWEL and outstanding job to all of our teams!
